1)Train for your own enjoyment,not to please parents,instructors or coaches.
Training for competitions and races, in team or individual events needs
full commitment.
2)Learn the rules of our sport and abide by them.
ICF/ICU RULES( Polo ,Marathon,Wildwater,Freestyle,Slalom,Sprint,Surfing)
3)Respect your fellow paddlers. Treat them, as you would like to be treated.
4)Do not use foul/vulgar language, or use unfair or bullying tactics
to gain advantage of another opponent, paddler.
5)Always compete to win but recognize that it is not the only aim. Participation
is equally important. fun and safety is the up most importance.
6)Behave in a manner that reflects the quality atmosphere and ethos of
the club.
7)You are responsible for your own gear. Please make sure your name is
on it. When using club gear treat it with respect. any lost or damaged
items should be replaced immediately by that person.
8)Buoyancy aids must be worn at all times while canoeing.
9)Helmets with face guards must be worn at all times while playing polo.
Canoeing helmets must be worn while in lessons or on river or sea trips.
10)Remember to always bring a drink of water with you. You need 1 litre
of fluid per one hour of exercise.
11)Junior members entering events must be accompanied by parents/ guardian
or have a signed consent form.
12)Less than 3 paddlers should never be !!
